HDD (Hard Disk Drive)

A traditional data storage device that uses rapidly rotating magnetic platters and read/write heads to store and retrieve digital information.

Key Features:

  • Lower cost per GB compared to SSDs
  • Available in large capacities (up to 20TB+)
  • Mechanical parts make them more vulnerable to shock
